About visual poetry
Visual poetry is a form of poetic expression that combines visual and textual elements to create an aesthetic experience. Unlike traditional poetry, which relies primarily on language and textual structure, visual poetry uses space, shape, color, and the arrangement of words and images on the page or in physical space to convey its meaning.

In visual poetry, the design and arrangement of visual elements are as important as the words themselves. Visual poets may employ different techniques and mediums to create their works, such as collage, photography, typography, graphics, and painting. The goal is to generate a poetic experience through the unique combination of visual and textual elements.

Visual poetry can address a wide range of themes and emotions and can convey meanings and sensations in ways that conventional written language alone cannot capture. By combining visual and textual elements, visual poetry invites the reader to interact with the work in a more participatory and multisensory way, thus creating a more complete and enriching poetic experience.

About 2084 Imagined Futures from the South
The future is currently a field in dispute, inclusive futures require considering the aspirations of society as a whole and not only of the sectors that are used to exercising their “capacity to aspire” (Appadurai, 2004). So that the future includes us all it is crucial to activate each imagination and encourage everyone to occupy the everyday life of the future.

We summon imaginations and amplify the voices of those that usually go unheard.

The future will be what we imagine and do today.

Travel to 2084 and tell what you see, hear, smell, feel, think, dream, fear, desire…
