The Observatory on Latin America is engaged with the Mistra Urban Futures (MUF) organization, which links local interaction platforms from various cities around the world (Cape Town, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Sheffield-Manchester, Kisumu, Malmö, and via OLA, Buenos Aires) around a co-production approach for research and practice. The focus of this work is the operationalization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda (NUA) at the local level. The Buenos Aires partnership comprises three key institutions, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Design of the University of Buenos Aires, the Foreign Relations Department of the City of Buenos Aires, and the world-renowned Centre of Legal and Social Studies, which works on human rights issues in Argentina and Latin America at large.
