CUBA program

OLA is committed to promote applied research on Cuban realities within New School students and faculty and beyond.

In 2016 we supported the creation of the International Field Program in Cuba. Current work is focused on a 3-year GPIA course: Havana Studio: Historic Preservation and Urban Strategy, in collaboration with the Cuban Office of the City Historian. With support from the Ford Foundation the Havana Studio was launched in the Spring of 2018. Its first activity is the development of a Building Survey for the Regla municipality, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Havana.
