Seminar on Fighting U.S. Blockade Policy on Cuba, Featuring Elisabeth Stevens

The Policy, Design, and Development Working Paper Series, in collaboration with the Observatory on Latin America, is pleased to invite you to an upcoming seminar featuring Elisabeth Stevens on “Fighting U.S. Blockade Policy on Cuba: Strategy for Today’s Climate”
About the Speaker:
Elisabeth Stevens is the Organizing Committee President of Americans for Common Sense on Cuba (ACSC). For 45 years, she has been a full-time volunteer organizer in the New York metropolitan area, developing non-government-funded, all-volunteer medical and dental programs for Long Island’s farm workers and the lowest-paid service workers across New York City’s five boroughs.
Since 2011, she has led nine delegations to professional conferences in Cuba, where she has spoken on comparative analyses of the U.S. and Cuban healthcare systems and the harm that U.S. policy inflicts on both Cubans and Americans. In 2023, she founded Americans for Common Sense on Cuba (ACSC).
About ACSC: Americans for Common Sense on Cuba (ACSC) is a voluntary association of individuals working to mobilize resources and political will to overturn the U.S. blockade on Cuba, along with all related executive actions that negatively impact both nations. ACSC represents diverse sectors of U.S. society, including the business community (travel, hospitality, agriculture, banking, and finance), academia, faith organizations, and everyday Americans who believe in the right to travel freely.
