Facing Risk presents effective urban resilience practices put in place to address the risks of natural and anthropic disasters in six Latin American cities: Manizales, Colombia; La Paz, Bolivia; Cuenca, Ecuador; Santa Fe and Pilar, Argentina; and Cubatão, Brazil. This book provides answers to some of the dilemmas faced by local governments and communities as they seek to strengthen their resilience to disasters.
