The Observatory on Latin America is pleased to invite you to take part in the Second Global and Virtual Forum | City and Coronavirus: Policy Impacts
INTRODUCTION
The Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO-Ecuador), the Municipality of the Metropolitan District of Quito (MDMQ) and the University Network of Urban Studies (Civitic), convene the Second Global Forum Cities and Coronavirus: The Impacts of Policies. For the organization of the event, a worldwide number of networks (31) and institutions (76) have joined, concerned about the impact that Covid-19 can have on the cities of the planet.
The first Global Forum discussed on the impact of the Covid-19 measures in cities of the five continents, in the second one we will make a cross-sectional analysis of certain relevant topics. go to post (in English) – download/view summary pdf (in Spanish)
OBJECTIVES
The main objective of this Second Global Forum is to debate the main impacts of the policies proposed to face the COVID-19 pandemic and their evaluation in the city environment.
The forum will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 3:30 p.m. (continental Ecuador time, GMT -5), through the Blackboard Collaborate platform; in which there will be five presentations, each lasting fifteen minutes and, subsequently, a debate will be opened among those attending.
